Project Implementation Groups (Components)
The project staff is organized in 7 Project Implementation Groups responsible for the different project components
- PMIS = Programme Management and Institutional Support
- ALF = Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries
- RIS = Rural Infrastructure (Roads, Irrigation, Social Infrastructure)
- CGR = Community, Gender and Rural Development
- SAL = Safer Access to Land
- FA = Finance and Administration
- CMU = Contract Monitoring Unit
Target Group
The target group in the 14 target districts is identified as follows:
- 40 of 96 communes = 68.000 households
- 55.000 agricultural households = 280.000 people, including:
- 140.000 people with food deficit of 4 months per year
- 90.000 people with insufficient income to purchase minimum food
- 67.000 women between 18-64
- 25.000 youths between 15-17
- mine victims, women-headed households and other highly vulnerable groups
Other direct and indirect beneficiaries include the private sector (traders, contractors), NGOs involved in project implementation, Commune Councils and line departments of government ministries.
