During finalizing tender procedures, the project implemented. quick impact projects. These projects were well received by communities and stakeholders, finally seeing some tangible project activities implemented on the ground, Those QIPs also allow project staff to practically apply the management, coordination, and monitoring system, an importance of experiece before the up comming implementation of the large contract at the end of 2007. The implementation of the QIPs is very rich on lessons learnt for everyone; so far a main conclusion shows the importance of having a strong coordination mechanism for contractors.
Besides that some lots of agriculture supplies financed under specific commitment failed, single tenders for the local purchases under EUR 10, 000 of items in each of three provinces by EPTF have been conducted through the use of single tender procedure.
